Tailored Cat Grooming Service

Based in Lancaster Rd, Basingstoke, UK

I have solutions for matted cats, soiled cats, cats with hairballs, cats with allergies, cats with sensitive tummies, greasy cats, hairless cats, in fact, all types of feline companions.  Every cat is an individual and so our solutions are based around your cat according to age, health, coat type and temperament.

I am a high quality, low volume feline specialist. I care about cats, I want the best for them, just like you do.

1) Basic bath and blow dry with de-shed, included is a nail trim, and eye and ear clean. This is our starting point. Everything else is an add on service apart from the separately priced Lion and Teddy clips.

2) De-grease coat treatments. Full body or specific areas, such as stud tail etc.

3) De-matting service as a one-time service, often a Lion Clip. This is to remove matting and pelting and is often also called a “mercy clip” also.

4) Moving forward, I offer regular scheduled grooms. These will be either six or four weekly schedules depending on the individual needs of your cat, it’s coat type, age, health and temperament.

5) Sanitary trims, to keep the rear end and “trousers” as clean as possible between grooms, especially useful for cats with sensitive tummies.

6) Belly shaves, typically a little longer length for ease of management between grooms, especially useful for longhaired outdoor cats who regularly get wet, dry, wet, dry and are prone to matting more underneath.

7) Teddy Bear clip, this is useful for some cats who’s owners find a shorter length of coat helps with hair that is dropped around the house.

8) Top to toe skin and coat checks. Each groom is done in a meticulous order, from head to toe. I will report any concerns or things to flag up for you and your vet if I find anything that concerns me, such as new lumps, bumps or injuries.

9) Feline specific, high quality shampoos develped specifically for cats and cat safe de-greasing agents.

10) Full sanitisation and airing of the salon and all equipment between each cat groom. We use professional kite marked chemicals which protect against Covid-19, other viruses, bacteria, fungal spores. These are specifically marked safe for cats.

11) Equipment is cleaned using cat safe cleaners and specialist ultrasonic and ultraviolet equipment.

12) PPE, even after Covid-19. We think it prudent to continue to protect all cats in our care, even after the current pandemic has pa

FAQs

Not usually, the two skill sets are completely different!

Unless your dog groomer has been specifically trained in cat grooming and can offer feline exclusive, dog free grooming for your cat, you risk exposing your cat to unnecessary stress and risk ruining your cat’s grooming experience for life.

Right now, there are very few specifically trained feline specialist groomers.

However, it is worth checking online for a CFMG trained master groomer and don’t be afraid to ask questions!

Things we need before we take your cat into our salon are:

1) Up to date vaccination record, to protect everyone’s cats

2) Current history & full disclosure of medical conditions for our risk assessment

3) A HARD wipeable cat carrier to enable good biosecurity

Festival Place shopping centre is within easy walking distance of our salon and Basingstoke railway station very close by too, for those of you without a car. From a simple coffee and chat at Starbucks, Costa or the many eateries in town, to taking a swim, a walk, sky diving, ice skating, cinema or visiting a country house, the possibilities are endless. The link below holds just a little taster of what’s on offer in Basingstoke while you wait.
